Brand development manager

Main job purpose: Be responsible for delivering brand launches across the UK or Europe & develop ideas to take the brand into the next year & beyond. 

Key accountabilities

Primary responsibility

The primary responsibility of this role will be a brand development one, with access across all areas of the marketing mix.

  • Develop communication ideas for the next phase of the brand campaign in the next year and beyond
  • Develop a pan-European activation platform for implementation in the next year and beyond
  • Create new packaging which truly embodies the brand idea
  • Manage innovation projects as the project leader of a multi-functional team
  • Ensure a fantastic implementation of the current plan in the key local markets 
  • Contribute to the on-going development of the brand strategy and vision

Brand assistant/trainee.

Knowledge, skills & experience

  • 5-6 years marketing experience
  • Minimum 3-4 years proven results in brand management positions
  • Proven experience of adapting international brand mixes and of developing and implementing effective and integrated local brand plans
  • Ideally, experience in a related product area, and will have had direct experience of European/Global Category
  • Proven brand development experience is a must – especially in judging advertising and developing packaging
  • Experience of developing large scale brand activation ideas would be preferred
  • Experience in concept development and innovation would be a plus

Package

Dependant on experience and size of brand and role:

  • Package of £57K + (inclusive of car or car allowance, final salary pension and private healthcare)
  • Potential annual bonus of up to 40% of annual salary, dependant on business and individual performance
