Step by step
Try to make more journeys on foot. If you have a car, leave it at home for short trips and walk instead. Or if you usually take the bus, why not make the same journey on foot? You don't have to be power-walking over vast distances to get the benefit of the exercise.
Raw power
Say no if you can to unhealthy snacks and fast food. Vary your diet and make space in your shopping trolley for interesting seasonal fruit and vegetables. Wash them and eat them raw if possible. How about a mid morning snack of carrot sticks instead of cookies?
Two’s company
Every resolution is easier if there are two of you committed to it. After all, if your willpower takes a knock, there’s someone else there to give you the support you need. And you can offer support, too.
On your way to five a day
If you’re finding all this is hard work, then a shot of Knorr Vie is a delicious way of working towards your 5-a-day portions of fruit and/or vegetables. Not only that, but you can also freeze them in lolly moulds, creating a refreshing frozen treat!
The UK's Joint Health Claims Initiative says that 25 g of soya protein per day can help lower blood cholesterol, and that America's FDA says that 25 g of soya protein a day helps reduce the risk of heart disease.
Of course, you need to avoid saturated fats. And eat a balanced diet. Then there's exercise . . . But you're doing all that, right? It's all about staying healthy. And finding the right foods and drinks to keep you that way.
